Hypocrite? | Zelda and Aaron
Zelda had felt pretty bad about slapping Aaron, when she thought about it he was kind of in the same situation as her, though she wasn’t planning on hurting Eric and she wasn’t going to doing anything else with Ross. She needed someone to talk to, and sadly he was the only one who she could trust with secrets.
She walked into the library and spotted Aaron sitting alone. She walked over towards him trying to keep the smile on her face. She knew it would probably be extremely awkward talking to him but the only other people she could talk to were Ross or Eric and they weren’t very good options.
“Hey,” she said sitting down on a chair, “Sorry if I’m interrupting anything. And sorry for the slapping, and sorry for everything,” she stopped herself from talking, she couldn’t stop apologizing which made it awkward. “I really need to talk to someone I trust right now… and even though what you did sucked I kind of only have you at the moment,” she said sighing. She was such a hypocrite and she knew it for a fact.
Aaron couldn’t help the small smile that pulled on his lips and hoped she didn’t misinterpret it. “Despite everything, I’m glad you know you can still talk to me,” he said honestly as she sat. Even if things weren’t going to be the same with them, at least she knew she could confide in him and at least he knew that there was still some level of trust.
“As for the slap, no worries,” he said, his tone light. He turned to show off his cheek, only the faintest signs of her scratch still visible on his skin. “It makes shaving a bitch, but hey. I know I deserved it,” he looked down at his hands, clenched in fists, and flattened them out on the table. “I deserved worse, actually. But anyway.”
He turned to her, clasping his hands together and letting out a deep breath. “What’s wrong, Zelda?” he asked her quietly, tone soft. He thought back to Eric mentioning something about Ross and wondered if this was the same topic.
